Again! My husband and I were both craving chicken wings and no one wanted to go get any (which is fine by me). So we did the next best thing and made them at home using a combo of my new favorite tools; Instant Pot and Air Fryer. I have had my air fryer for some time now but never took it out of the box. I am so glad it’s out of the box now.
Making the chicken was a breeze!
Using a steamer basket, I added my chicken wings with 1 cup of water. You can use frozen or fresh. My store was out of fresh so I had to go with frozen. Close lid and seal pot. Hit manual and adjust time to 10 minutes.
Once timer goes off, do a quick release and remove chicken from the Instant Pot. Add chicken to bowl and coat with favorite wing sauce. I simply just go with the basic “wing sauce”.
Once that is done, you can put in oven to crisp up a little at 450°F for about 8-10 minutes or put in the MAGIC air fryer for 8 minutes.
To do this you will hit the “M” (manual) button and then touch the french fry button and adjust time to 8 minutes. When you get to 4 min, you can add more sauce if you’d like and flip.

-
Begin by placing 1 cup of water into Instant Pot. Using a steamer basket (pics shown below) add chicken wings to basket. It's best that you stand the wings up as best you can.
-
Put the lid on the pot and seal. Press manual and adjust time to 10 minutes. When done, do a quick release.
-
Remove chicken wings from Instant Pot and put in bowl. Coat with wing sauce. Allow to sit for about 3-5 minutes before removing.
-
For Air Fryer: Place covered wings in air fryer and choose "M" (manual) and french fries. Adjust time to 8 minutes. At 4 minutes you can add more sauce if you'd like. Flip wings and close basket for remainder of time.
-
For Oven: Cover baking sheet with foil and place wings on foil. Bake on 450°F for about 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
